Have lived and worked in the countryside all my life, although it has meant moving around to stay thus…first boyfriend was a schoolboy poacher…many years later find myself married to an ecologist, who is oft viewed with the same degree of suspicion as the young poacher! Some years back, my last garden featured in CL – enough said! Happiest when outside: in the garden or up a hill somewhere. Love the natural world and welcome it among the vegetables and flowers.

So many decisions on decorating!!!
In amongst the decorating, you even manage to read our blogs! I trained at Studley Horticultural & Agricultural College in Warwickshire, from 1949-1952. Failed the external London degree but got my Studley diploma because the London results weren't in so they had to award it, in case I'd passed!! Main reason for failing - I couldn't remember the name of anything even then. It is twice as bad now!
